crunch, slip, crunch!

i haven't walked on snow in a while... like a LOT of snow. it makes this strange starchy crunch sound and then certain places of old snow/ice makes you slip- unless, that is, you are holding hands with a trusty friend with sturdy boots! :)

looks like the forecast for the next 5.3 months (or at least for the rest of this week and next maybe) is SNOW.. and lots of it too!!

there's this constant struggle between the amount of clothes to wear in china too... apparently i wear TOO much outside where it's cold and windy and SNOWING and then too little when it's blasting 77 degrees F of heat! chinese people think i'm crazy- they dress like it's nothing outside and then continue to keep on ALL their layers when they are inside.... i'll never figure it out!

it's time...

to blog again! but this time i don't feel like myself- no new pictures lately or good stories to share :( so here are some random thoughts:

-i have some nasty dumpling breath from lunch today lingering in my mouth that won't go away (i'm pretty sure i don't want to know what was in the meat either!)
-i was VERY disappointed with one of my classes today for not volunteering/participating like they should (it's a part of their grade), a cell phone going off, and a student that left without permission or telling me... they got a nice lecture about all of them from me. haha
-i'm practically done with the practicum (a huge assignment we have due for our TEFL course certificate thingy)... whew! one more paper to go!
-cold is so relative here- it's either chilly, cold, colder, snowing, icy, freezing, or death. right now it's between cold and colder :) (aka average 33 degrees F during the day, not bad! haha)
-i'm often amazed that's it NOVEMBER.... 2010!!!! i still feel like it's 2006 or something haha
-had some sophomore girls over for movie night and found out the one on the far left is ENGAGED!!! now THAT was random. haha
