a good friend of mine is visiting from china. she commented on how many coins there are and how it's too difficult for her to remember which is which and adding them up.
that's just one of the many differences she noticed about while here in america. she's commented and caught on to a lot of things here- wearing seat belts in the car, using the crosswalk, most buildings are one story, nobody is walking on the streets or using the bus, people don't wear a lot of clothes, high school students look really old, people have a positive attitude when the work (customer service), people spend a lot of money and use credit cards all the time, and people "work hard and play hard"!
