i'm thankful for the rain because now the plants, trees, flowers are well-watered and nature is starting to blossom- giving this city color and beauty! hehe (note: the weather is STILL and always very changeable but in general you still see more colors and flowers popping out here and there!) here's a compliation of pictures i took over the past year:

top left: the most recent "spring" picture i could find... bright fuscia colored bushes are popular- who would have ever thought that??
top right: my first picture of the new campus in all it's heat and glory
bottom left: back in december... the random snow day that came and left all in a day!
bottom right: rain, rain, and more rainy dayys...
the past week has been fun hanging out with students (new and old)... i'm really going to miss them and i try not to think about the semester ending in less than 3 months! many tears will be shed for sure! here's some visual aids of hanging out with my students:

meet bridegent (pronounced bridgent) and hannah from my business english class in front of hannah's off campus apartment.. they're sweet girls and even though their english is not the best we still had a good time and conversation... hannah cooked 8 different chinese dishes (mainly different types of veggies) for the 3 of us!!! chinese people are all about massive amounts of dishes. haha...

this is allen, kayla, and alice from my energtic and spunky sophomore class 1 :) this is us enjoying classic chinese restaurant dishes together (eggplant, potatoes, and green veggies) yum yum!!

allen CRACKS me up. she's the TINIEST little girl (i'm a clear giant compared to her) and this girl can EAT... a lot. haha she also wears little brown heels that are hard to see in this picture (most chinese girls likes to wear heels all the time) she claims she likes to run in them too! here is a snapshot of her showing us how to do a cartwheel while we went on a nice afternoon walk :)

my boys (Jerry, Bye-boy, and Jacky) from class 1 taking advantage of my office hours to practice for their oral midterm job interview and hang out :) they too... crack me up.
aside from cracking up all the time i'm getting to know them more and more.. what they like, what they want to be, what they think about life... please ask for more opportunities and curiosity in their hearts for deeper things!
one random more thing i found interesting...

meet the dummy in my nursing class. sooooo... if i were to ask you if you think she is beautiful... you would probably say "noooooo!!" ask a chinese person and they will say "yes!" askldjfalskdfs why??? because she has blonde hair... i tell them no, no, no, NO! she is NOT beautiful just because she has blonde hair.. she is very horrifying and scary looking. lol oh chinese people and their obsession with foreigners. haha
