woooohoooo times in WUHU!
last weekend my team and i traveled to Wuhu, Anhui (which is about an overnight train away)... there we met up with several other teachers from our organization and spent a chill weekend just relaxing and enjoying fellowship with others! one of my favorite highlights was being around babies, children, and teenage girls for the first time in a LONG time.. especially being able to speak the same language... ENGLISH! hehe their chinese was even wayyyy better than mine. here are some pics and videos from the delightful weekend with great people (and babies) hehe :)
so cute. that's all.
normal foreign children? nope- definitely FLUENT in chinese.. amazing...!! (the 7 year old girl grew up in china and goes to chinese school and argues with her friends in chinese... and the baby- her dad is quite good at chinese and speaks to her daily! what inspirations!)
baby shannon and chinese baby.. they kinda look alike huh? hehe poor baby is wearing 5 layers in VERY warm weather- chinese people are always worried that people will be cold, while americans are always worried people are too hot! hehe
happy birthday rachael!! celebrating 24 years (chinese years, that is) of life with a wonderful breakfast feast!
