sorry it's been a while since i've last updated.. i've been meaning to BUT blogger has just been blocked.. along with other websites like youtube and such here.. so you might be wondering.. how on earth am i able to update this?? great question. thanks to technology there's ways to work around it and for that i'm thankful!
a lot can happen in a week and even a day in china.. in one day we found out that our finals that we are suppose to give in 4 weeks are now due NEXT week- so that's fun. pretty much we'll be done at the end of may with grades and all and freeeee the month of june!! i think it's a blessing in disguise because that means we get to hang out more with students and have more catalytic/redeeming events with them :) woot.
oh, our "spring dance" was a few weekends ago but it was great and sweaty! (remember, this is the FIRST dance for our young college students... dances don't exist here) at first, it was like an awkward junior high dance where everyone stood off to the sides... but then they warmed up hehe.. a few of the crowd favorites were: the hokey pokey, electric slide, power jam, macarena, and chicken dance ;) here's one of my favorite videos of a friend doing the macarena.. she's precious. hehe
more students doing the macarena... so good. :)after the dance my roomie and some students went to eat dinner at this "deep fry everything stand" with a sweet lady... it was me and shannon's first time eating it but it was pretty delish! here's a picture and of what the food is like :)
