a chinese christmas eve dinner :)

i originally had planned to eat my leftover spam fried rice for dinner, grade some papers, and prepare a final exam... but instead i got a text from a chinese teacher friend to have dinner with them and some teammates at 4:20pm (china is all about last minute plans).

to make a long story short, dinner was great (HUGE egg and vegetable dumpling things, fried battered pork, chicken wings, and seaweed!) and dessert was even funner :) a large chinese santa cake with some fruit and little cherry tomatoes on top. it was like eating a vegetable with whipped cream.... interesting!

cutting up the pretty cake with a butcher knife- classic :)

cherry and i with a whipped cream little cherry on a dainty fork :)

group picture with our friends :)

i love how Christmas can be celebrated all over the world with different foods, traditions, and ways but with the same purpose! merry CHRISTmas friends and hope you have a blessed time with family and friends as well!! :D
