this morning i got an email from a chinese friend visiting america and is currently in the lovely, HOT midwest visiting old foreign teachers.. this is what she said:
it is so hot here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you have been in china, and america is like heaven to me, but i know i have to go back and face my reality. it makes me a little sad after seeing all this beauty and life here. people in america should really be grateful and not take everything for granted.
it is very exciting. i am really tired because of jet lag, but when i go to bed, my mind can't stop thinking about things i did in the daytime, the conversation i had during the day. i am so lucky that i can visit here, but i don't know why He does it. i hope He can work on my heart after i go back.
another chinese friend that has been living in america for a few years saw my pictures of my apartment and my bathroom and was commenting on how i have the "dream" bathroom in china... she said things like, "you have a western toilet, a washing mashine, HOT water, and... a MIRROR!?!!" so many things i take for granted and often find myself complaining about not having a drying machine, sqeegee-ing the floor after i shower, etc. but i have it good, real good in china AND america. hope you don't forget the many blessings each day that we take for granted no matter where we are :)
p.s. my bathroom in china... photo is PANORAMIC and NOT as big as it seems, it's pretty small! haha
