gimme a break

gimme a break, break me off a piece of that kit-kat bar! funny how commercial songs are so catchy and memorable. anyways... TGIF. today was the last day of class before the 7 day National Holiday break! i also took the liberty of taking random pictures of my sophomore students (my old freshman students last year) during the 10 minute break period in class... let the break begin!

gladys and sunny... i told them to pretend like they were friends. haha they were confused and said, we are already friends!!?

then i told them to do an ugly scary weird face... they were confused once again and not sure what to do.

alas, mission accomplished... my sophomores are learning quickly how to be strange, just like their teacher. :) (notice girl in the background cutting her split ends... just another random thing students do during the break!)

meanwhile agnes is hard at work and studying/doing last minute hw for other classes during the break.

...and swanky steven is watching a movie on his ipad...!?!? kids these days. haha

and poor gritty, as tired as ever and has an amazingly clutterful desk... bless his heart.. i think he's ready for a break!


i told them at the end of class that their homework during the holiday is to:
-have fun (they don't have enough fun during the week!)
-sleep a lot (they don't sleep enough during the week!)
-eat good food
-call your mom and tell her you love her
-give someone a hug
and
-go outside while it's not freezing... uh.. er.. or at least snowing just yet.
(this was the good news portion of their class after having a pop vocab quiz earlier hehehe..)
