it's that time of year...

for (gigantic) green onions in the air!! over the past two weeks i've been sighting more and more green onions popping out, hanging, lying out, and piled up.. everywhere! i remember last year after october holiday i came back to harbin and saw them all over... i still don't understand everything about it (i think there's a surplus, people stock up for the winter and dry them outside for later usage..?) but it's pretty amazing if you ask me. my latest obsession is taking pictures of these wonders... here's a small sample of what i see on a daily basis on the streets of harbin :)
