howdy y'all :) in Texas now with samson and getting to spend time with his family and friends! the other day we went to the "stockyards" in Fort Worth, Texas aka a place "where the West begins," and is "the finest place in America to experience our nation's proud western heritage". st felt like a
very different America with so many interesting things to see and do... for free! :) i felt like a major tourist in a new place taking so many pictures everywhere. after living in another country for 4 yrs- everything about America, especially a place like this, brings a lot of culture shock! the people are so friendly here and they have great southern accents. some of the highlights from the day!
they had random people dressed up and walk around to play the part of the wild west days

learning how to speak like a texan ;)
the shop owner insisted us trying on hats and to pose there for a picture haha..
my first time seeing armadillos and they had a race for them too.. you had to blow their tails to get them to move! haha
the most
surprisingly pleasant thing about texas thus far has been the weather.. notice we're wearing light sweaters?! that's because it's been about 70-80 degrees since i've been here! ptl! :D
