ever since i came back to harbin a couple days ago i've been seeing green onions on steroids... EVERYWHERE!! and when i say everywhere i mean everywhere haha.. on the sidewalk, out the windows, on the stairs, on boxes, on grass, and anywhere else it can get some sunshine to dry themselves out.
at first i thought it must have been a holiday or festival that eats them a lot or something, but later i asked my knowledgeable teammates and they informed me that green onions are in abundance now and at a really cheap price and in the winter they are scarce and expensive... which means, buy as much as you need/can for the winter and dry them outside so they will last longer (i think).
life is always interesting, just have a kan kan (look look) :)

HAHA. Oo... have you learned how to make scallion pancakes? Yum. I tried making them once and they turned out just okay. Can you buy some green onions for me and dry them and bring them back with you?? Haha. JK =)
