last week i taught about love, relationships, and dating in class... which means this week is about weddings! let's just say students were thrilled to talk/learn about this because 90% of them are girls :P
i stole a lesson plan idea from fellow city friends who taught about weddings and we did the typical bridal shower game of "dress the bride in TP (toilet paper)"! since there are no bridal showers in china, this was a very new cultural experience for them- but they enjoyed it a lot and got pretty creative! :)
here's a few pictures from class this week:
following the activity, i had them vote for the most beautifully dressed bride to be the bride in our mock ceremony. then we proceeded to have the shortest mock ceremony ever- about 4 minutes long due to lack of time (processional, welcome, 1 cor. 13, exchange of rings/vows, presentation of couple, and recessional)!
my hope is that one day they will know that they are the bride of the King and that they are so beautiful in His eyes and that they are loved more than anyone can love them on this earth!
here's an amazing story, with great perspective, about love lived out in this couple's marriage and story:
